This fleece belongs to a cross breed sheep who lives just up the road from us here at Felted Sheepskins. The wool is soft and a lovely warm brown colour with sun bleached tips. The staple is very long and really reminds us of a bear….not a sheep at all!!! Its a lovely neat example of a Felted Sheepskin and how amazingly varied wool can be. This fleece was turned into Felted Sheepskin with love at our small farm in Devon.

If you really need to wash your Felted sheepskin you can pop it in the washing machine on a gentle wool cycle. Use a small amount of wool detergent. Alternatively you could soak it in a bath of warm water – then let it drip dry.
Stretch the rug out firmly when it is still damp. Let the fleece dry naturally in the sun – this may take a few days.
Each of our rugs are unique and need treating slightly differently – we will send you an individual care card with your rug.
