Forever Flock – Mushroom

£195.00

This Felted Sheepskin is a lovely colour – all shades of brown and grey. Overall the rug has quite a light appearance even though it is quite dark in places. The rug is slightly lighter in appearance than it appears in the photos.  Mushroom is lovely and soft to touch and the wool has a nice spring to it. The backing  is a very soft brown felt and would be perfect on a sofa so you could pull it over you on a chilly evening. This fleece was turned into Felted Sheepskin with love at our small farm in Devon.

‘Just wait until you hear Mushrooms story!

While Mushroom was in the womb, her mum Biddie got very sick and as a result lost her eyesight.

When Mushroom was born we noticed very early on she started to guide Biddie around. Biddie listened out to Mushroom’s bleats and footsteps as directions of where to go.

4 years later the pair are still inseparable, Mushroom still carefully guides her mum, she’s an amazing little sheep’

This fleece came from ‘The Forever Flock‘ where nature and biodiversity are a top priority – these sheep are kept for their wool, so are saved from the food chain. If you would like to find out more about ‘The Forever Flock’ and their farming ethos head over to our blog!

Aftercare

If you really need to wash your Felted sheepskin you can pop it in the washing machine on a gentle wool cycle. Use a small amount of wool detergent. Alternatively you could soak it in a bath of warm water – then let it drip dry.

Stretch the rug out firmly when it is still damp. Let the fleece dry naturally in the sun – this may take a few days.

Each of our rugs are unique and need treating slightly differently – we will send you an individual care card with your rug.
