Forever Flock – Stevie

£225.00

Stevie has such a long and lustrous fleece and the staple is medium soft. The colouration is really unusual,  warm and  creamy coloured with a hint of ginger.  There is a ginger patch in the middle of the fleece and some strawberry tints around the edge. Its a lovely fleece and will look amazing anywhere you choose to put it! It has a strong white felt backing and would be idea on a chair or on the floor. This fleece was turned into Felted Sheepskin with love at our small farm in Devon.

‘Stevie is seven years old but still thinks at time’s she is a lamb.
At birth her mum didn’t have enough milk, so we had to step in and bottle feed her.
Since then Stevie has gone on to have her own lambs, but if she sees a feeding bottle she reverts to lambhood and comes running over expecting to be fed.
Being hand-reared Stevie is incredibly tame, to the point she couldn’t be bothered to stand up for me to have her photo taken. Why stand when you can lie down?’

This fleece came from ‘The Forever Flock‘ where nature and biodiversity are a top priority – these sheep are kept for their wool, so are saved from the food chain. If you would like to find out more about ‘The Forever Flock’ and their farming ethos head over to our blog!

Aftercare

If you really need to wash your Felted sheepskin you can pop it in the washing machine on a gentle wool cycle. Use a small amount of wool detergent. Alternatively you could soak it in a bath of warm water – then let it drip dry.

Stretch the rug out firmly when it is still damp. Let the fleece dry naturally in the sun – this may take a few days.

Each of our rugs are unique and need treating slightly differently – we will send you an individual care card with your rug.
