This rustic looking rug is made from the fleece of a Shetland sheep who lives on an organic farm in the Cotswolds. It is exceptionally soft wool with a lovely lustre. The wool is creamy white with a good amount of crimp. The shape of the rug is quite traditional and overall its a very pleasing Felted Sheepskin. This fleece was turned into Felted Sheepskin with love at our small farm in Devon.

If you really need to wash your Felted sheepskin you can pop it in the washing machine on a gentle wool cycle. Use a small amount of wool detergent. Alternatively you could soak it in a bath of warm water – then let it drip dry.
Stretch the rug out firmly when it is still damp. Let the fleece dry naturally in the sun – this may take a few days.
