This fleece belongs to Forever Flock Horse and it is just SO lovely. The colouration is that of warm caramel and clotted cream. The staple is long and soft, the backing is felt is dark brown. It is a lovely traditionally shaped rug, I imagine it next to the bed to step onto in the morning or on the sofa to keep you warm; it really is an all rounder. This fleece was turned into Felted Sheepskin with love at our small farm in Devon.
‘Horse is a very shy ewe, so much so I could not get a photo of her alone; instead she needed the company of another to feel at ease. Horse acquired her name at a young age for her ability to jump clean over fences. As she’s grown older thankfully for us she’s stopped that trick. At two years old this will be her first year to lamb, she has such an unusual pattern we’re hoping she will pass it to her young.’
This fleece came from ‘The Forever Flock‘ where nature and biodiversity are a top priority – these sheep are kept for their wool, so are saved from the food chain. If you would like to find out more about ‘The Forever Flock’ and their farming ethos head over to our blog!
